Story-making: Stories for Society
During the past decade I have worked with talented experts to create a method for unleashing the transformational power of collective story-making.
Together with colleagues In 2010 I founded Stories for Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving learning and communication, particularly among youth. Our method is useful for the discussion of complex social issues. such a prejudice and intolerance.
This initiative originated in my many years of volunteer work in schools, which underscored the need for methods to infuse academic learning with the development of twenty-first century skills, and social/emotional development.
Stories for Society provides training in its method and the dynamics of story-making overall, facilitates story-making groups, and promotes a collaborative network among like-minded actors. Stories for Society's work in Bosnia-Herzegovina underscored the relevance of its method to the emergence of a sustainable diverse society and to envisioning the future.
Stories for Society most recently undertook training workshops on the topic of inclusion with Fryshuset, the world's largest youth center. Contact me if you would like to learn more and/or sponsor this initiative. View a recent article about the work here.
