Since September 2006 Julie has been writing a monthly column in Nordstjernan, a newspaper which has been serving the Swedish-American community since 1872. In the column she discusses viewpoints on what it is to live a good life and what a good society is in our times. The column is entitled "Letter from the Island" and reaches 35,000 households from the east to the west coast of the United States on a monthly basis. Nordstjernan is distributed throughout the United States and is a member of Swedish News, Inc. which also publishes Nordic Reach Magazine.
